Vinification

Vinification is the wine making process where grapes are fermented and transformed into wine in the cellar.

The work being done outside at the vineyard i.e. growing grapes, is not part of the vinification, but is the viticulture.

The science of vinification (wine and wine making) is also known as oenology.
