Viticulture

Viticulture means wine growing and is the science of growing, cultivating, and harvesting grapes for wine production.

It is mostly confined to the work being done outdoors in the wine making process, i.e. the agricultural practice of growing grape vines.

The subsequent process of turning the grapes into wine is not part of the viticulture but is the vinification process.
