Blending

When blending wine, you combine different wine varietals to create a blended wine, which is better than the separate wines on their own.  

Blending can take place at many stages of the winemaking process and the wines blended can be from different grape varieties, vineyard locations, regions, vintages, made by different techniques or with different aging methods.
